Full Moon in Aquarius

Aquarius the dreamer. She sits in a stream of her own consciousness and creativity, pouring inspiration into her ruling planet of Uranus, and releases what no longer serves her under the Full Moon.

🌕♒️🦋 Full Moon in Aquarius • August 11, 2022

Took a while to finish this between lots of family visiting and new art projects popping up. Learning to go with the flow, getting these done even if they’re not “on time”. Hope this brings clarity to the past couple weeks, or helps next time the Moon is in Aquarius (August 1, 2023).

☁️ Aquarius, the visionary air sign, is ruled by Uranus, the planet that governs innovation, technology, and surprising events. Aquarians are big thinkers, but should be careful to not spend their whole lives with their heads in the clouds.

🌕 Full Moons are a time to release what no longer serves us. While the Full Moon was in Aquarius, it may have been a time for problem solving, seeing a method that would help you move forward towards your dreams.

🧭 Aquarius was also conjunct Saturn, meaning within 8 degrees of Saturn. A conjunction is usually an opposing energy, which can create balance or confusion depending on how you interpret it.

👁️ Saturn is the planet of focus, ethics, authority, structure, justice, boundaries, and reality. While structure and seriousness worked for you before, it’s time to embrace a little of the dreamy, and intuitive nature of Aquarius and the innovation of Uranus.

☀️ Full Moons happen when the sun is directly across from the moon, lighting it up. At this time, the Sun was in Leo, a sign of expression, relating to others, and showing up loud and proud.

🦋 So we take the beneficial aspects we’ve learned from focus and structure, and move into a space of dreamy, inventive, expressive energy. Embrace your emotional side without letting it sway you, and instead use this free flowing energy in productive ways, moving you close to achieving your dreams.
